Call to order- Chair Gamradt called the meeting to order at 7:09pm. 2. Roll call: o Attendees: Commissioners Gamradt, Cooper, Dixon, Rydberg, Stockton, Williams and Slais and Staff Liaison Lt. Weigel. o Absent: Commissioners Barret, Wolkenbrod, Eugene, Noble, Rich, Lynch. 3. Approval of agenda: o Additional discussion points around communicating with Students Organized Against Racism (S.O.A.R) added to agenda. o Commissioner Gamradt moved to approve. All present were in favor. 4. Approval of March 2025 Minutes o Commissioner Gamradt moved to approve. All present were in favor. 5. Crime Info, Dept Info/Updates – last 30 days o One trainee graduated from HT and started field training. o Two ‘Pathways’ officers in training o Community Service Officers – Cadet positions- Hiring process underway. Interested parties can go to the PD webpage for requirements. 6. Upcoming Community Outreach Opportunities: a. https://www.stlouisparkmn.gov/our-city/things-to-do b. Walk in the Park- c. Rollin @ the ROC- d. Juneteenth e. Parktacular – table at this event? June 14 o The discussion about these events was around potential opportunities to get into the community and spread the word about PAC and invite the community to future PAC meetings if interested in learning more. Questions brought to Chair Gamradt were about having supplies (cards, talking points, signage) and how to promote the PAC at these events. Chair Gamradt will review with Lt. Weigel. o Proposal to have some PAC members/table at Parktacular moved by Chair Gamradt. All present were in favor. Chair Gamradt will prepare ideas/presentation for next meeting. f. New Americans Academy- class starting April 9th g. Jobs in the Park- April 10th, 15th. 5-8pm @ REC Center Police advisory commission meeting April 2, 2025 7. Break out into subgroups to address work plan items: This item agenda will be moved to virtual/online due to limited numbers of commissioners present. Chair Gamradt will reach out to PAC to connect with everyone. a. Meet b. Discuss schedules & try to establish a regular meeting schedule c. Set up date, time, and place for 1st meeting d. Create a rough agenda/goals for 1st meeting 8. Discussion on S.O.A.R. o Comm. Dixon brought information given to students about “knowing your rights.” Students were able to attend a “sit in” to learn more about student rights, protests and interactions with the PD. o Would the PAC be able to talk directly with SOAR or have a representative attend a PAC meeting each understand the focus? o PAC commissioner(s) to meet with SOAR team initially to set groundwork in motion for getting together. 9. Adjournment- Meeting moved to adjourn by Comm. Gamradt. Seconded by Comm. Slais.
