Commissioner I Anderson provided an update on the resource list. Commissioner Lawler Turnbull asked the question if the commission had city council’s approval to disseminate the information provided on the resource list. Mr. Coleman stated that in order to do so, the commission would need to complete the advisory commission communication form to city council, so the discussion can be had. The commission then discussed the best option to disseminate the resource information once approved. The commission ultimately decided that it would be best to do so through brochures or a QR code/flyer if needed. Then, once completed they would share the information at tabling events, with community partners, etc. Commissioner Kay gave an update on the commission tabling opportunities. Commissioner Bashore asked if there was a budget allotted for commissions to table at events where fees are associated? Mr. Coleman stated that there isn’t truly a budget where funds are dedicated to these types of events, but he would check in with his supervisor and report back to the commission once he receives an update. He also stated that there are other tabling opportunities that don’t require fees that would be great for tabling. For bigger events that do, the commission should look to collaborate with other city departments that are tabling.
