RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY
4820 Excelsior Boulevard
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute, Section 469.101 grants to the Economic Development
Authority for the City of St. Louis Park (the "EDA") the power to acquire by lease, purchase,
gift, devise or condemnation the needed right, title and interest in real property; and
WHEREAS, based in part on the recommendations of the EDA staff, as set forth in that
certain staff report dated December 18, 1995, including without limitation the long term
development needs of Excelsior Blvd, and the desire to acquire properties deemed as
redevelopment sites as such properties become available for acquisition, the EDA has determined
that acquiring the permanent rights, title and interests in the real property is necessary to
accomplish the purposes of the EDA for the property legally described as follows:
Tracts A & B, Registered Land Survey No. 832, Hennepin County, Minn.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the EDA:
1. That the recitals set forth above are found to be true and incorporated in the body of this
Resolution as it is fully set forth herein.
2. That the EDA finds that it is necessary to acquire the Property.
3. That the EDA and its staff, agents and attorneys are authorized to negotiate for the acquisition
of the Property.
