LOUIS PARK HOUSING AUTHORITY TO CONTROL AND HAVE AUTHORITY OVER RENTAL ASSISTANCE FOR FAMILY STABILIZATION PROGRAM WHEREAS, it is the purpose of the St. Louis Park Housing Authority ("Authority") to provide housing opportunities to low and moderate income families to help them secure safe, sanitary and affordable housing, and WHEREAS, it is the purpose of the Employment Action Center ("Center"), a division of Multi -Resource Center, Inc., to provide case management, vocational counseling and job placement assistance to low and moderate income persons to help them achieve self sufficiency, and WHEREAS, the Center and the Authority have jointly prepared an application for the Rental Assistance for Family Stabilization Program of the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency ("Agency"), and WHEREAS, the Agency has selected the Center and Authority to receive 25 vouchers under the program in the amount of $203,000 over a three year period, and WHEREAS, the Agency has forwarded a proposed agreement for administration of the program to the Authority and Center for execution, and WHEREAS, the resolution reorganizing the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of St. Louis Park, Minnesota (Resolution No. 135-88) passed on September 19, 1988 indicates that the Authority shall have the power to accept control and authority over any housing project or program for low and moderate income persons which the Economic Development Authority delegates to the Authority. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Louis Park Housing Authority is hereby delegated by the Economic Development Authority to administer the Rental Assistance for Family Stabilization Program as funded by the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency, with the Employment Action Center.
