Community technology advisory commission The St. Louis Park Community Technology Advisory Commission is meeting in person in the Westwood Room on the third floor of St. Louis Park City Hall, 5005 Minnetonka Blvd. Members of the public may attend the meeting in person. Adjournment Community technology advisory commission m eeting September 7, 2023 5 p.m. Minutes Community technology advisory commission Members present: Rudyard Dyer, Michael Siegler, Konnor Slaats, Cindy Hoffman, Drew Keogh Members absent: Kelly Heitz, Rolf Peterson Staff present: Jacque Smith Guests: Michael Sund, elections and civic engagement coordinator 1. Call to order – roll call Meeting started at 5:02 p.m. 2. Approval of minutes – May 18, 2023 Siegler moved, Slaats seconded, all voted in favor of approving minutes as written. 3. Presentation: boards and commissions facilitated discussion Michael Sund led the group through a facilitated discussion to receive feedback about the boards and commissions program. This is part of a larger process that has been taking place for several months to evaluate the program. The city council will be presented with an updated on this process at an Oct. 2, 2023, study session. 4. Staff updates Smith reported that a new GIS coordinator will start Sept. 27 in the communications and technology department. CTAC members are asked to share ideas for consultants as Smith proceeds with the Hennepin County Broadband Expansion grant activities . State of the Community is Oct. 11, everyone is invited. US Internet expansion work continues; calls are coming in about restoration. A broadcast equipment upgrade is taking place this fall in the council chambers at city hall. Smith asked for ideas related to data analytics or data science. 5. Discussion - none 6. Updates from commission members - none 2.
