HomeMy WebLinkAbout23-082 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 2023/06/05 Resolution No. 23-082 Approving the final plans and specifications and authorizing bidding documents for Dakota Park Infrastructure Improvements project number 2122-1806 Whereas the city council of the City of St. Louis Park has received a report from the project manager related to the Dakota Park Infrastructure improvements project no. 2122-1806 on June 5, 2023; and Whereas the project includes the replacement of the sanitary sewer main, the removal of the existing bridge and the construction of a new trail connection between the playground and the dog park around the stormwater retention basin; and Whereas at the same meeting, the preliminary layout was approved, and final plans were ordered to be developed. Now therefore be it resolved by the city council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, that: 1. The final plans and specifications to construct these improvements, as prepared under the direction of the project manager, or designee, are approved. 2. The city clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted at least two weeks in the official city newspaper and in relevant industry publications an advertisement for bids for the making of said improvements under said-approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall appear not less than ten (10) days prior to the date and time bids will be received electronically by the project manager and accompanied by a bid bond payable to the city for five (5) percent of the amount of the bid. The electronic bids will only be available to view after the bids are closed and the city receives the passcode from the bidding host site. 3. The project manager, or designee, shall report the receipt of bids to the city council shortly after the opening date. The report shall include a tabulation of the bid results and a recommendation to the city council.
