Convene the local board of appeal and equalization. The St. Louis Park local board of appeal and equalization convened at 6:00 p.m. 2. Roll call – declaration of quorum. Board members present: Tim Brausen, Sue Budd, Lynette Dumalag, Yolanda Farris, Nadia Mohamed, Margaret Rog, Jake Spano Board members absent: none. Staff present: Deputy City Manager (Ms. Walsh), City Assessor (Mr. Bultema), Commercial Appraiser (Ms. Nathanson), Administrative Services Director (Ms. Brodeen), Josh Hoogland (Hennepin County Representative) Guests: none. Appointment of 2023 chair It was moved by board member Spano, seconded by board member Mohamed, to appoint board member Budd as chair of the 2023 local board of appeal and equalization meeting. The motion passed 7-0. 3. Acknowledgement of trained member(s) (Budd and Mohamed). The board acknowledged board members Budd and Mohamed as trained members. 4. Accept roster of appellants and call for any additions. Mr. Bultema presented the initial roster of appellants to the Board. The roster contained 37 appellants with an additional 2 appellants present at the meeting and added to the roster. The roster is an addendum to these minutes. A call for roster additions was made. No other additional appellants appeared. 5. Determination of date and time for continued proceedings (reconvene). It was moved by board member Brausen, seconded by board member Rog, to reconvene the local board of appeal and equalization on April 24, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. prior to the study session in the council chambers, and to request appellants to present in writing ahead of time and be available for questions during the April 24, 2023, reconvened meeting. Inform appellants for reconvene date via telephone and mail. b. Inform appellants of board process. c. Inform appellants of the county board application date (5/17/2023) d. Re-inspect and re-appraise parcels under appeal. 7. Completion of the local board certification form. The board completed the local board of appeal and equalization certification form. The form as completed is also included as an addendum to these minutes. 8. Recess It was moved by board member Brausen, seconded by board member Dumalag to recess until April 24, 2023, at 6 p.m. The motion passed 7-0.
