Resolution declaring the results of the Municipal Election held November 4, 2003
Recommended
Action:
Motion to approve the resolution declaring results of the
Municipal Election held November 4, 2003
Background:
City Charter section 4.08 requires the City Council to meet and canvass election returns within
seven days of any election and declare the results as soon as possible.
As required by charter, the resolution includes:
• total number of good ballots cast
• total number of spoiled or defective ballots
• the vote for each candidate with a declaration of those who were elected
• a true copy of the ballots used
• the names of the judges and clerks of election

RESOLUTION NO. 03-_________
RESOLUTION CANVASSING ELECTION RETURNS OF
ST. LOUIS PARK - NOVEMBER 4, 2003
MUNICIPAL GENERAL ELECTION
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Charter Section 4.08, the City Council shall meet and canvass
election returns within seven days of any election and shall declare the results as soon as
possible; and
WHEREAS, the results prepared and certified to by the election judges have been presented in
summary form to the City Council for inspection,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council as follows:
1. The November 4, 2003 election returns having been canvassed, the votes received by each
candidate for city offices are as follows:

candidates have been elected to four (4) year terms commencing on the first (lst) regularly
scheduled meeting of 2004:

And, the following candidate has been elected to a two (2) year term commencing on the first
