Vice Chair Johnson suggested reaching out to Council for their involvement. Commissioner
Arnold agreed to reach out to the Mayor
Vice Chair Johnson recommended having others, i.e. elected officials, assist with leading

The Commission then discussed the elected officials that would be invited, and decided who
would be responsible for contacting each
Commissioner Hamm suggested rebranding of the poster for the event.
The Commission decided it was late to completely change the branding of the posters, but to
rather change some of the language on the sign
Vice Chair Johnson suggested the name of the event be more direct
The Commission decided to change the title of the event to “A Forum on Race: The Changing
Face of St. Louis Park”
The Commission discussed having SOAR (Students Organizing Against Racism) more in
from of the discussion
Commissioner Hamm stated that he would check to see if an equity coach or someone from
the school would be able to participate as a facilitator
The Commission decided it would be best if, no matter how many people were in attendance,
would remain in one large group for the discussion
