ORDINANCE AMENDING ST. LOUIS PARK CITY CODE
SECTION 9-610 RELATING TO PERMIT FEES AND
SECTION 9-603 EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE
NORTHERN STATES POWER COMPANY FRANCHISE
THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. Section 9-610 (1) of the St. Louis Park City Code is amended in its
entirety to read as follows:
(1) Separate Ordinance. During the term of the franchise hereby granted, and
in addition to any permit or other fees being imposed on the Company pursuant
to Section 9-604 (3), the City may impose on the Company a franchise fee of not
more than five percent (5%) of the Company's gross revenues as hereinafter
defined. The franchise fee shall be imposed by a separate ordinance duly
adopted by the City Council, which ordinance shall not be adopted until at least
sixty (60) days after written notice enclosing such proposed ordinance has been
served upon the Company by certified mail. The fee shall not become effective

SECTION 2. Section 9-603 (1) of the St. Louis Park City Code is amended to extend
the term of the franchise granted to Northern States Power Company, d/b/a Xcel Energy through
December 31, 2015.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its passage and
publication.
