RESOLUTION APPROVING 2017 BUDGET
AND SERVICE CHARGES FOR
SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICT NO.2
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 2093-97, the City Council created Special Service
District No. 2 (the "District'). The specific properties located within the District are identified on
Attachment "A" attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 08-133, the City Council is authorized to impose
service charges within the District on a multi-year basis through and including the year 2018 for
taxes payable in said year; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.04 of Resolution No. 08-133, the maximum budget to
be imposed in any year will be subject to adjustment calculations based on Consumer Price Index
(CPl) data for the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metropolitan Area; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3 of Resolution No. 08-133, the Service Charges shall be
payable and collected at the same time and in the same manner as provided for payment and
collection of ad valorem taxes; and
WHEREAS, the City is required by Statute to certify assessments to the County by
December 1, 2016.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis
Park as follows:
1. The 2017 Budget for Special Service District No. 2 of $47,464 is hereby approved
as recommended by the Special Service District No. 2 Property Owners.
2. The authorized 2017 Service Charge for Special Service District No. 2 is $36,464
in thgNounts and against the properties specified on Attachment "A" attached to this Resolution.

Notes:
1) The proposed 2017 service charge calculations are based upon the same methodology / formulas used for the initial service charge
collection.
a) Al services charges are based on the parcel's square foot area basis.
2) The 2017 proposed budget is $47,464, the same as in 2016.
3) The 2017 proposed service charge includes a transfer of approximately $11,000 from reserves to lower the service charge and
maintain a proper fund balance.
