1. Call to order

Members present: Virginia Mancini, Avi Olitzky, Paul Baudin, Yvette Baudelaire, Emily
Buchholz, Jaime Chismar, Li Livdahl, Maria Estiquo, Andre Barajas, Astein Osei
Members absent:
Staff present: Maria Solano, Darius Gray
Guests: None present
1. Council Agenda Items
2. Council Meeting Update
Mancini – gives an update and overview from the meeting with Council. Council role is to work
with Council through Policy.
HRC meet again with Council in July or August.
What additional ways can we partner with Council besides looking at the Council agen da.
Discussion of Make up of our commission and how to ensure some diversity on the commission
Eustaquio – We need to be able to recruit more commissioners of color and it will impact how
the ability for HRC to engage with the wider community.
Baudhuin – motion to review the bylaws.
Subcommittee formed and that group bring feedback to larger HRC group and then bring it
Council. Council will not join subcommittee but will be responding to what HRC puts together.
How do we build in infrastructure in bylaws to address that.
Board composition and bylaws become one subcommittee.
Baudin Motion: Review of bylaws through of subcommittee. Subcommittee will bring it back to
HRC. Commission will present to council.
Oltizky Second it.
Motion Passes – Unanimously.
Virginia, Astein, Emily B will make up the bylaws subcommittee.

Equity Trainings with the new race equity manager for business leaders.
Thoughts around having partnership with MAC Multiculture Advisory Committee
What is the purpose of the Summer of Action?
Make it very SLP specific
Food Justice/climate/ESC – Earth related
Yvette – Education and Policing
Osei – Earth things & Edu.
Estuqio – Earth Things & Education
Olitzky – Religion & Social safety net
Baudhuin – Food Justice and Policing
Chismar – 6/6 Voting on.
Mancini – Food.
Barajas – Earth things and Education
Like the idea of a student panels around education.

Subcommittee help working on a social media plan if we passed a statement.
