HomeMy WebLinkAbout21-042 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 2021/04/05Resolution No. 21-042 Resolution of the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota recognizing the contributions and expressing appreciation to Public Service Worker Jayme Hamilton Whereas, Jayme Hamilton began his employment with the City of St. Louis Park on March 13, 1989; and Whereas, in his role on the forestry crew, Jayme has pruned and removed hundreds of trees, planted more than a thousand trees; and Whereas, Jayme served in a crew leader role for forestry staff for many years, strongly advocating for and leading by following all safety procedures in a dangerous job; and Whereas, Jayme worked with other program staff and the SLP Historical Society in 2008 to relocate the Beehive fireplace from Lilac Park to Roadside Park in order to preserve the historic stone structure; and Whereas, Jayme has helped to beautify St. Louis Park by creating landscapes, flower gardens and community gardens throughout the city; and Whereas, Jayme has done his part to help the department by plowing snow, performing extra work for storm damage cleanup and various other special landscape projects; and Whereas, Jayme will enjoy retirement by spending time with his family; Now therefore be it resolved that the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, by this resolution and public record, would like to thank Jayme for his great contributions and 31 years of dedicated service to the City of St. Louis Park and wish him the best in his retirement.
