HomeMy WebLinkAbout20-165 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 2020/11/16Resolution No. 20-165 Resolution authorizing amendment to residential recycling grant agreement between the City of St. Louis Park and Hennepin County Whereas, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 115A.552, counties shall ensure that residents have an opportunity to recycle; and Whereas, Hennepin County Ordinance 13 requires each city to implement a recycling program to enable the county to meet its recycling and organics recycling goals; and Whereas, the county has adopted a resolution to amend the Hennepin County Residential Recycling Funding Policy funding to extend the contract period of the Residential Recycling Funding Policy from December 31, 2020 to December 31, 2021; and Whereas, in order to receive grant funds, the city must sign the agreement; Now therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, that the city council accepts the agreement as proposed. It is further resolved that the city council authorizes the mayor, city administrator or his designee to execute such Residential Recycling Grant Agreement with the county.
