MARCH 30, 2020
All meetings of the St. Louis Park City Council will be conducted by telephone or other
electronic means starting March 30, 2020, and until further notice. This is in accordance with a
local emergency declaration issued by Mayor Jake Spano March 16, 2020, in response to the
coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Additionally, city facilities are closed to the public through
April 10 in keeping with the March 25, 2020, Executive Order 20-20 issued by Gov. Tim Walz
directing Minnesotans to Stay at Home through March 28-April 10.
Some or all members of the St. Louis Park City Council will participate in the March 30, 2020
special study session by electronic device or telephone rather than by being personally present
at the city council's regular meeting place at 5005 Minnetonka Blvd.
Members of the public can monitor the council meeting by video and audio at
https://bit.ly/watchslpcouncil or by calling +1-312-535-8110 meeting number (access code):
803 501 804 for audio only. Cisco Webex will be used to conduct videoconference meetings of
the city council, with council members and staff participating from multiple locations.

Executive summary
Title: COVID-19 pandemic update
Recommended action: None at this time. The purpose of this study session is to provide time
for an update on the COVID-19 pandemic and answer questions from the council
Policy consideration: Does the city council need additional information related to the COVID-19
pandemic?
Summary: Staff will provide an update to the city council on the current state of the COVID-19
pandemic including:
•COVID-19 update from city manager and fire chief
•Essential services update
o Public safety
Police
Fire
Operations & Recreation
o Finance
o Human resources
o Racial Equity, Inclusion & Outreach
o Engineering
o Community Development
o Information resources
o Building and energy
o Other: general administration, providing services, future meeting
agendas/conducting meetings
Financial or budget considerations: The chief finance officer will provide an update to the
council related to the budget during the meeting.
