Authorize installation of stop controls at 28th Street and Glenhurst Avenue
Whereas, the City of St. Louis Park had established a list of stop-controlled intersections in
Ordinance No. 535 which included the intersection of 28th Street and Glenhurst Avenue; and,
Whereas, in Traffic Study 713, staff recommended to re-write Ordinance No. 535 into
resolutions for better record keeping; and,
Whereas, Ordinance No. 535 was rescinded on March 2, 2020; and,
Whereas, Resolution 93-16 also governed the placement of stop signs at the intersection
of 28th Street and Glenhurst Avenue; and,
Whereas, the intent of this resolution is to reflect existing traffic control conditions; and,
Whereas, St. Louis Park is committed to providing a variety of options for people to make
their way around the city comfortably, safely, and reliably.
Now therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota,
that Resolution 93-16 be rescinded.
It is further resolved by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, that the
engineering director is hereby authorized to:
1. Install stop signs at all approaches of the intersection of 28th Street and Glenhurst
Avenue.
