ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
ST. LOUIS PARK, MINNESOTA
August 18, 2003
1. Call to Order
President Brimeyer called the meeting to order at 7:22 p.m.
2. Roll Call
The following Commissioners were present at roll call: John Basill, Jeff Jacobs, Paul
Omodt, Susan Sanger, Sue Santa, Sally V elick, and President Jim Brimeyer.
Also present were the Acting City Manager (Mr. Harmening); City Attorney (Ms.
McDowell-Poehler); Finance Director (Ms. McGann); and Recording Secretary (Ms.
Samson).
3. Approval of Minutes
3a. Economic Development Authority Minutes of August 4, 2003
The minutes were approved as presented.
4. Approval of Agenda
The agenda was approved as presented.
5. Reports
Sa. Motion to accept and file vendor claim report
It was moved by Commissioner Jacobs, seconded by Commissioner Santa, to approve
vendor claims.
The motion passed 7-0.
6. Old Business: None
7. New Business
7a. Public Hearing regarding the purchase of 3501 Louisiana Ave. S. by
Anderson Builders
Acting City Manager Tom Harmening reported on the consideration of a motion to open
a public hearing regarding the proposed sale of 3501 Louisiana Avenue South and
continue it until September 2, 2003. Mr . Harmening stated that a purchase agreement is
not yet available for presentation because Mr. Anderson and Staff continue to discuss
issues, which were raised by Mr. Anderson, regarding the environmental status of the
EDA M eeting M inutes -2- August 18, 2003
property and his comfort level as far as assuming liability for correcting those
environmental conditions. Mr. Harmening said Staff is recommending the public hearing
be opened and continued until September 2, 2003.
It was moved by Commissioner Santa, seconded by Commissioner Omodt, to open the
public hearing regarding the proposed sale of 3501 Louisiana Ave. S. and continue it
until September 2, 2003.
The motion passed 7-0.

President Brimeyer adjourned the meeting at 7:25 p.m.
