LOUIS PARK, MINNESOTA September 7, 2004 1. Call to Order President Santa called the meeting to order at 7:20 pm. 2. Roll Call. Commissioners present: Sue Santa, John Basill, Jeff Jacobs, Phil Finkelstein, Paul Omodt, Susan Sanger, and Sally Velick. Staff present: City Manager (Mr. Harmening), Finance Director (Ms. McGann), and City Clerk (Ms. Reichert). 3. Approval of Minutes 3a. Economic Authority Minutes of August 2, 2004 Change Ron Behl to Ron Mehl ) It was motioned by Commissioner Finkelstein, seconded by Commissioner Sanger, to approve the minutes as corrected. The motion passed 7-0. 4. Approval of Agenda It was motioned by Commissioner Jacobs, seconded by Commissioner Velick, to approve the agenda. The motion passed 7-0. 5. Reports Sa. Motion to accept and file vendor claim report It was motioned by Commissioner Jacobs, seconded by Commissioner Sanger, to accept the vendor claims for filing. The motion passed 7-0. 6. Old Business 7. New Business 7a. Approve EDA Resolution for HRA levy as required by MN Statutes, Section 275.065 EDA Resolution No. 4-09 EDA Minutes -2- September 7, 2004 Ms. McGann reported that the Economic Development Authority is being asked to approve a HRA levy in the amount of $601,010.00. She stated that this would be the fourth year in a row that the EDA has approved such a levy. She stated that they are required to certify the levy to Hennepin County by September 15, 2004. Ms. McGann stated that the levy would then be part of the final budget adoption in December. The HRA levy would fund infrastructure improvements in various redevelopment areas throughout the city. The HRA levy is part of the Development Fund budget within the Economic Development Authority. It was motioned by Commissioner Omodt, seconded by Commissioner Jacobs, to adopt EDA Resolution No. 04-09 establishing the HRA levy. The motion passed 7-0. 8. Communications: None 9.
