LOUIS PARK, MINNESOTA March 21, 2005 1. Call to Order President Santa called the meeting to order at 7:20 pm. 2. Roll Call. Commi ssioners present: Sue Santa, John Basill, Jeff Jacobs, Susan Sanger and Sally Velick. Commi ssioners Phil Finkelstein and Paul Omodt were absent. Staff present: City Manager (Mr. Harm ening), Economi c Development Coordinator (Mr. Hunt) and Recording Secretary (Ms. Stegora-Peterson). 3. Approval of Minutes 3a. Approval of Agenda It was moved by Commissioner Velick, seconded by Commissioner Jacobs to approve the agenda. The motion passed 5-0. 5. Reports - None 6. Old Business 7. New Business 7a. Mr. H unt repli ed it w ould be the same as what was originally proposed. They were looking at different land trusts, but it would still be owner occupied. EDA Meeting Minutes -2- March 21, 2005 Commi ssioner Basill asked to be inform ed of a major change so he could speak with neighborhood leadership. Mr. Hunt responded if there would be a substantive change, it would be brought back to EDA. It was moved by Commissioner Basill, seconded by Commissioner Sanger, to approve the Agreement with Hennepin County for an Environmental Response Fund Grant for the environmental cleanup of 4100 Vernon Ave. S. with the understanding that the EDA work with the city's Housing Authority to pursue the creation of two affordable housing units within the "Brookside Lofts" project as originally proposed. The motion passed 5-0. 7b. Metropolitan Livable Communities Act Tax Base Revitalization Account Grant Agreement Mr. Hunt presented the staff report. It was moved by Commissioner Basill, seconded by Commissioner Jacobs, to approve the Agreement with the Metropolitan Council for a Metropolitan Livable Communities Act Tax Base Revitalization Account Grant to cleanup the Brookside School property at 4100 Vernon Ave. South. The motion passed 5-0. 8. Communications: None 9. Adjournment It was moved by Commissioner Jacobs, seconded by Commissioner Sanger to adjourn. The motion passed 5-0.
