RESOLUTION NO. 08-017
RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE RECONVEYANCE TO THE STATE OF
MINNESOTA OF CERTAIN TAX -FORFEITED LANDS ADJACENT TO
2849 JORDAN AVENUE SOUTH
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park is the official governing body of
the City of St. Louis Park; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to State Deed #101998 pertaining to those certain tax -forfeited lands
dated December 16th, 1954, and filed on 2-8-1955, as Doc. 451009 with the Hennepin County
Registrar of Titles, the City of St. Louis Park became the present owner for public use for street
purposes of certain tax -forfeited lands located adjacent to 2849 Jordan Avenue South in the City of
St. Louis Park, Hennepin County, and legally described as follows:

That part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 7, Township 117 North,
Range 21 West of the 5th Principal Meridian described as follows:
Commencing at the point of intersection of the north line of said Southwest Quarter of the
Southwest Quarter with a line drawn 75.00 feet easterly of, measured at a right angle to and
parallel with the west line of said Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter; thence on an
assumed bearing of South, along said parallel line, a distance of 702.65 feet; thence South 87
degrees 16 minutes 00 seconds East a distance of 149.56 feet, to the point of beginning of the
land to be described; thence North 87 degrees 16 minutes 00 seconds West a distance of 85.07
feet; thence South 67 degrees 42 minutes 30 seconds East a distance of 160.33, feet to the
intersection with a line bearing South 48 degrees 09 minutes 00 seconds East from the point of
beginning; thence North 48 degrees 09 minutes 00 seconds West a distance of 85.07 feet, to the
point of beginning.
WHEREAS, the City desires to reconvey these tax -forfeited lands (the "Premises") to the
State of Minnesota for the purposes of an outright purchase by the adjacent owner of fee title to the
Premises;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK IN REGULAR MEETING ASSEMBLED:
(1) Staff is authorized and directed to take such steps as are necessary to reconvey the
re ' ises to the State of Minnesota for purposes of subsequent purchase by the adjacent property
owne and
2) The Mayor and City Manager and staff are authorized to prepare and execute such
docume is as are necessary to accomplish the reconveyance.
