RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED 2008 TAX LEVY,
APPROVING PRELIMINARY BUDGET FOR 2008, AND SETTING PUBLIC
HEARING DATE FOR PROPOSED BUDGET AND PROPERTY TAX LEVY
WHEREAS, The City of St. Louis Park is required by Charter and State law to approve a
resolution setting forth an annual tax levy to the Hennepin County Auditor; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes require approval of a proposed property tax levy and a
preliminary budget on or before September 15th of each year; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received the proposed budget document;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park
that the preliminary 2008 budget shall be as follows.

And as supported by the proposed budget document; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Public Hearing required by Truth in Taxation
legislation will be held on December 3, 2007; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Hennepin
County, Minnesota, that the following sums of money be levied for collection in 2008 upon the
taxable property in said City of St. Louis Park for the following purposes:
General $ 17,884,382
Park Improvement Fund 1,010,000
Pavement Management 415,000
GO Debt Service 1,337,300
Total $ 20,646,682
And
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the County Auditor of Hennepin County, Minnesota
d to the Local Government Aids/Analysis Division, Department of Revenue, State of
Mi esota as required by law.
