HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-105 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 2004/09/07RESOLUTION NO. 04-105 RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED 2004 TAX LEVY, COLLECTIBLE IN 2005, APPROVING PROPOSED BUDGET FOR 2005, REVISED BUDGET FOR 2004 AND SETTING PUBLIC HEARING DATE FOR PROPOSED BUDGET AND PROPERTY TAX LEVY WHEREAS, The City of St. Louis Park is required by Charter and State law to approve a resolution setting forth an annual tax levy to the Hennepin County Auditor; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes currently in force require approval of a proposed property tax levy and a prelinunary budget on or before September 15th of each year; and WHEREAS, the City Council has received the proposed budget document; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the preliminary 2005 budget for all Governmental Funds, Enterpnse funds and Internal Service funds shall be as follows: AVAILABLE RESOURCES: Revenues: General Property Taxes Licenses and Permits Intergovernmental Charges for Services Fines, Forfeits and penalties Enterprise Special Assessments Miscellaneous Transfer In Total Revenue Fund Balance/Reserves - Jan 1 Total Available $ 16,546,864 2,189,875 2,757,439 3,029,292 285,900 10,214,112 98,012 3,293,461 6,561,260 $ 44,976,215 $ 80,739,092 $ 125,715,307 REQUIREMENTS: Appropriations Personal Services Supplies Services and other Charges Capital Outlay Debt Service Transfer Out Contingency Total Appropriations Fund Balance/Reserves - Dec 31 Total Available And as supported by the proposed budget document; and -$ 20,553,011 16,830,912 3,635,738 5,125,500 2,492,722 152385 $ 48,790,268 $ 76,925,039 $ 125,715,307 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Public Hearing required by Truth in Taxation legislation will be held on December 6, 2004; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota, that the following sums of money be levied in 2004, collectible in 2005 upon the taxable property in said City of St. Louis Park for the following purposes: General Fund $ 12,796,269 Park and Recreation Fund 2,821,988 Park Improvement Fund 979,908 GO Debt Service 837,500 Total $ 17,435,665 And BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby authonzed and directed to transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the County Auditor of Hennepin County, Minnesota and to the Local Government Aids/Analysis Division, Department of Revenue, State of Minnesota as by law. equire ed for Administration City Attest: N.
