HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-137 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 2001/12/03RESOLUTION NO. 01-137 RESOLUTION DECLARING ADEQUACY OF PETITION AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF A REPORT TO DETERMINE THE FEASIBILITY OF PAVING THE ALLEY LOCATED IN THE 4000 BLOCK BETWEEN TOLEDO AND UTICA AVENUES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park has received a petition from signed by affected property owners related to alley paving in the 4000 block between Toledo and Utica Avenues. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, that 1. The City's Alley Paving Policy requires that a petition containing signatures from at least 51% of the affected property owners be received in order to investigate the feasibility and cost of construction. 2. A certain petition requesting the improvement of the alley in the 4000 block between Utica and Toledo Avenues, filed with the Council on December 3, 2001, is hereby declared to be signed by the required percentage of owners of property affected thereby. This declaration is made in conformity to Minn. Stat. § 429.035. 3. The petition is hereby referred to the City Engineer and she is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended.
