RESOLUTION ACCEPTING RESIGNATION AND DECLARING
VACANCY IN OFFICE IN COUNCILMEMBER WARD THREE
WHEREAS, St. Louis Park Ward Three Councilmember Ron Latz submitted his
resignation effective Apnl 6, 1999, leaving a vacancy in the office of Councilmember Ward
Three for a term expiring January 3, 2000; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Charter Section 2.05, the Council shall accept the
resignation, declare a vacancy for the remainder of the unexpired term; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Louis Park City Council that a
vacancy is hereby declared for Ward Three Councilmember for the remainder of the term to
expire January 3, 2000.

lld. Resolution accepting resignation and declaring vacancy in the Office of
Councilmember Ward 3 Resolution #99-49
It was moved by Councilmember Nelson, seconded by Councilmember Young, to adopt the
resolution declaring a vacancy in the Office of Councilmember Ward Three effective April 6,
1999. The motion passed 6-0-1 with Mayor Dorfman abstaining.
Council asked that the next study session agenda include a discussion about process for filling
the vacancy.
