HomeMy WebLinkAbout96-27 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1996/02/20RESOLUTION NO. 96-27 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING REPORT, APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS, AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR 1996 MAJOR EQUIPMENT PURCHASES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota has received a report from the Director of Public Works related to major equipment scheduled for replacement during 1996 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, that: 1 The Director of Public Works Report regarding 1996 equipment replacement is hereby accepted 2 The specifications for 1996 equipment purchases as prepared under the direction of the Director of Public Works are approved - Tractor and Jetter/Vac The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted at least two weeks in the official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids for said equipment under said specifications The advertisement shall appear not less than twenty one (21) days prior to the date and time bids will be received by the City Clerk, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five (5) percent of the amount of the bid. 4 The bids shall be tabulated by the Director of Public Works who shall report his tabulation and recommendation to the City Council 5 The Director of Public Works is further authorized to acquire all other 1996 equipment purchases as allowed by Statute, Charter, or Ordinance through the following methods - purchase from State of Minnesota Contract, Hennepin County Contract, or by quotations.
