r RESOLUTION NO. 96-174 RESOLUTION CANVASSING ELECTION RETURNS OF ST. LOUIS PARK - NOVEMBER 5, 1996 GENERAL AND SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL ELECTIONS WHEREAS, pursuant to City Charter Section 4 08, the City Council shall meet and canvass election returns within seven days of any election and shall declare the results as soon as possible; and WHEREAS, the return sheets prepared and certified to by the election judges have been presented to the City Council for inspection, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council as follows 1) The November 5th election returns having been canvassed, the votes received by each candidate for City office are as follows: 1 Ward 2 Councilmember Total # Votes % of Votes Precinct 1 2 3 4 Flanagan 2,353 54 0% 714 597 304 396 342 Appelquist 1,969 45 2% 642 450 298 343 236 Write-ins 38 0 9% 13 2 6 10 7 4,360 2) The number of persons registered prior to the election and on election day, the number of voter receipts, the number of absentee ballots, the number of spoiled ballots and the total number of good votes cast in the City are as follows: Registered @ 7 am 29,768 Registered on Election Day 3434 Total Registered Voters 33,202 1) VOTER RECEIPTS 22,459 A Accepted Reg.
