RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A
CONTRACT FOR SIDEWALK SNOW REMOVAL SERVICES IN THE
EXCELSIOR BOULEVARD SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICT NO. 1
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for sidewalk snow removal services in the Excelsior
Boulevard Special Service District No. 1, bids were received, opened, read aloud and tabulated by the City
Public Works Department on August 27, 1996. Said bids were as follows:

* Finley Brothers 28,200.00
Custom Products & Services 49,890.00
Estimated Cost $ 54,495.00
* Non -conforming bid
WHEREAS, it appears that Custom Products and Services, Minneapolis, Minnesota, is the lowest
responsible bidder;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park,
10 1innesota, that:
I. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract in the amount of
$49,890.00 with Custom Products and Services in the name of the City of St. Louis Park, for sidewalk
snow removal services in the Excelsior Boulevard Special Service District No. 1 according to the
specifications approved by the City Council on file in the office of the Director of Public Works.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return to all bidders the deposits made with their bids
in accordance with the bid documents except the deposit of the successful bidder shall be retained until a
contract has been executed.
