RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A
CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NOS. 90-37 & 96-02
RECONSTRUCTION OF NORTH FRONTAGE ROAD OF TRUNK HIGHWAY 7
FROM QUEBEC AVENUE TO TEXAS AVENUE AND THE
SOUTH FRONTAGE ROAD OF TRUNK HIGHWAY 7
FROM RHODE ISLAND AVENUE TO TEXAS AVENUE
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for improvement project Nos. 90-37 and 96-02, bids were
received, opened, read aloud and tabulated by the City Public Works Department on August 7, 1996. Said bids were as
follows:

Engineer's Final Estimate $ 244,400.00
* Denotes Engineer's correction upon extension.
WHEREAS, it appears that Northwest Asphalt, Inc of Shakopee, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder; and
II NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, that:
1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract in the amount of
$260,144.15 with Northwest Asphalt, Inc. in the name of the City of St. Louis Park, for improvement project Nos.
90-37 and 96-02 according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of
the Director of Public Works contingent upon concurrence of the award by the Minnesota Department of
Transportation.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return to all bidders the deposits made with their bids in
accordance with the bid documents except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall
be retained until a contract has been executed.
