RESOLUTION NO. 96-130
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A
CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NOS. 94-13 & 96-04
WATER REPLACEMENT ON SHELARD PARKWAY
FROM FORD ROAD TO NATHAN LANE AND
ROADWAY MILL AND OVERLAY
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for improvement project Nos. 94-13 and 96-04, bids were
received, opened, read aloud and tabulated by the City Public Works Department on August 13, 1996. Said bids were
as follows:

Midwest Asphalt Corporation 167,781.50
Hardrives, Inc. 169,091.50*
LanDar, Inc. 181,822.50
Northdale Construction Company, Inc. 198,789.77
Engineer's Final Estimate $ 163,785.00
* Denotes Engineer's correction upon extension.
WHEREAS, it appears that Valley Paving, Inc. of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible
111 bidder; and
that:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota,
1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract in the amount of
$156,286.00 with Valley Paving, Inc. in the name of the City of St. Louis Park, for improvement project Nos.
94-13 and 96-04 according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office
of the Director of Public Works.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return to all bidders the deposits made with their bids in
accordance with the bid documents except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder
shall be retained until a contract has been executed.
