NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, that the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to install the following controls: 1. Stop signs on Inglewood Avenue at Cedar Lake Avenue. Adopted by the City Council June 19, 1995 W' hkitiw Reviewed for administration: Approved as to form and execution: Cit f Attorney f 1 RESOLUTION NO q6 --g6 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING INSTALLATION AND SPECIAL ASSESSMENT OF FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM AT BENILDE-ST. MARGARET SCHOOL WHEREAS, the Property Owners at 2501 South Highway 100 ("Benefited Property") have petitioned the City of St. Louis Park to authorize a special assessment for the installation of a fire sprinkler system in their school building on the Benefited Property; and WHEREAS, the Property Owners have agreed to waive their right to a public hearing, right of notice and right of appeal pursuant to Minnesota Statute, Chapter 429; and WHEREAS, the Property Owners have assumed all responsibility to install, operate and maintain the fire sprinkler system; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park has received a report from, the Director of Inspections related to the installation of the fire sprinkler system. NO*, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, that: 1. The petition from the Property Owners requesting the approval and special assessment for the fire sprinlder system is hereby accepted. 2. The installation of the fire sprinkler system in conformance with the plans and specifications approved by the Fire Department and Department of Inspections is hereby authorized. 3. The total estimated cost for the design and complete installation of the fire sprinlder system is accepted at $193,000. 4. The Property Owners have agreed to waive their rights to a public hearing, notice and appeal from the special assessment; whether provided by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, or by other statutes, or by ordinance, City Charter, the constitution, or common law. 5. The Property Owners agree to pay the City for the cost of the above improvements through special assessment over a ten (10) year period at seven percent (7 %) interest. 44,3g) 6. The Property Owners agree to execute an agreement with the City in a form substantially similar to the attached agreement and any other documents necessary to implement the installation of the fire sprinlder system and the special assessment of all costs associated therewith.
