HomeMy WebLinkAbout95-55 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1995/04/17RESOLUTION NO. 95-55 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 95-10; PURCHASE OF STREET LIGHT POLES AND FIXTURES, PEDESTRIAN LIGHT POLES AND FIXTURES, AND BANNER POLES WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for improvement project No. 95-10, bids were received, opened, and tabulated by the Director of Public Works on April 7, 1995. Said bids were as follows: Bidder Judd Supply Company Collins Electrical Systems, Inc. Egan -McKay Electrical Contractors, Inc. Killmer Electric Co., Inc. Ridgedale Electric, Inc. Engineer's Estimate Bid Amount $ 569,576.91 575,258.04 582,232.00 582,485.00 613,276.92 $ 588,000.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Judd Supply Company of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota that: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract in the amount of $569,576.91 with Judd Supply Company in the name of the City of St. Louis Park, for improvement project No. 95- 10 according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the Director of Public Works. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return to all bidders the deposits made with their bids in accordance with the bid documents except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been executed.
