HomeMy WebLinkAbout95-159 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1995/11/13E 1 November 13, 1995 RESOLUTION NO 95-159 A RESOLUTION CANVASSING ELECTION RETURNS OF ST LOUIS PARK NOVEMBER 7, 1995, GENERAL & SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL ELECTIONS WHEREAS, pursuant to City Charter Section 4 08, the City Council shall meet and canvass election returns within seven days of any election and shall declare the results as soon as possible, and WHEREAS, the return sheets prepared and certified to by the election judges have been presented to the City Council for inspection, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council as follows 1) The November 7 election returns having been canvassed, the votes received by each candidate, together with the number of defective and/or non -votes for offices, are as follows MAYOR Votes Currie, Stan 1389 Dorfman, Gail 3031 Write-in 6 Defective/Blank 37 COUNCILMEMBER AT -LARGE A Jacobs, Jeff 3398 Write -In 45 Defective/Blank 1016 COUNCILMEMBER AT -LARGE B Brimeyer, Jim - 3362 Write-in 43 Defective/Blank 1057 COUNCILMEMBER WARD I SPECIAL ELECTION Runge, Peter J 484 Sanger, Sue 1166 Write-in 0 Defective/Blank 29 Total ballots cast 4462 Defective and/or blank (nonvotes) for offices 2139 TOTAL NUMBER PERSONS VOTING 4462 2) Prior registration was 28,441 persons, 95 persons registered on on election day for a total of 28,536 St. Louis Park registered voters 3) Total absentee ballots counted 128.
