HomeMy WebLinkAbout95-147 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1995/10/16RESOLUTION NO. 95-147 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF EASEMENT LOCATED AT 8530 State Hwy 7. WHEREAS, the City Council of St. Louis Park has authorized and directed the City Manager to negotiate with the owner of property for the purchase of land for right of way, and WHEREAS, pursuant to such negotiations, Knollwood West Partners, a Minnesota General Partnership, has indicated their desire to sell said easements for right of way purposes, and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of St. Louis Park that the City of St. Louis Park purchase the following described easements located in Hennepin County, (see attached Exhibit A) Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute any and all instruments necessary to complete the purchase of said easements, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to pay $8,778.00 to Knollwood West Partners, a Minnesota General Partnership, upon delivery of the recordable documents together with an opinion by the City Attorney of the City of St. Louis Park, approving the transfer documents. Adopted by the City C Rev wed for administration: y anager cil October 16, 1995. w Approved as to form and execution: Cit j Attorney 1 EXHIBIT A SIDEWALK AND UTILITY EASEMENTS A perpetual easement for sidewalk and utility purposes over, under and across the northeasterly 5.00 feet of the following described property: That part of Lot 1, Block 1, Pure's Knollwood Addition lying Easterly of a line 87.00 feet Easterly of, as measured at right angles to the Westerly line of said Lot 1, according to the plat thereof on file or of record in the office of the Registrar of Titles in and for said County. Together with a perpetual easement for sidewalk and utility purposes over, under and across that part of the above described property which lies easterly of a line drawn from a point on the northeasterly line of said Lot 1 distant 20.00 feet northwesterly from the easterly corner of said Lot 1 to a point on the southeasterly line of said Lot 1 distant 15.00 feet southwesterly from said easterly corner. Also together with a perpetual easement for sidewalk and utility purposes over, under and across that part of the above described property which lies northerly of a line drawn from a point on the northeasterly line of said Lot 1 distant 40.00 feet southeasterly from the northerly corner of said Lot 1 to a point on the northwesterly line of said Lot 1 distant 30.00 feet southwesterly from said northerly corner and lying southerly of that particular street easement that was acquired in Document No. 1448831. 2
