RESOLUTION NO. 95 - 170
A RESOLUTION REVISING THE CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION
PLAN AND ESTABLISHING CITY CONTRIBUTIONS FOR EMPLOYER
PROVIDED BENEFITS FOR ALL NON-UNION EMPLOYEES, AND
AMENDING RESOLUTIONS 94 - 178 and 94 - 179.
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1996
WHEREAS, as authorized by Section 3-301 of the St. Louis Park Ordinance Code, the
City Council has established the "Position Classification Plan and Salary Administration
Program for the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota", and
WHEREAS, Section 3-301 provides that as often as necessary, the Position Classification
and Salary Plan shall be reviewed and revised by the Council, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to continue the cafeteria -style employee group
benefit plan, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish different City contribution levels based
on individual employee selection of single or family health coverage; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish and maintain a greater City contribution
for employees in the supervisory/administrative classification levels,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis
Park:
1) The salary structure for all non-union, supervisory and non -supervisory classifications
as shown in the Position Classification and Salary Plan for the City of St. Louis Park,
Minnesota, be amended as shown in the attached Exhibit A,
2) The City Manager shall establish and administer a cafeteria -styled employee group
benefits program for 1996,
3) The monthly contribution of benefit dollars for all categories of non-union employees
shall be as follows:

4) The appropriate City officials are hereby authorized and directed to deduct the balance
of any sum premium from the compensation of the employee or officer and remit the
insurer under an approved contract the employee or officer and share of any such
premium
