HomeMy WebLinkAbout94-68 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1994/06/06r RESOLUTION NO. 94-68 o RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR PROJECT NOS. 93-24, 94-02A, 94-02C, 94-15 AND 94-16; CONSTRUCTION OF MUNICIPAL PARKING LOTS AT BASS LAKE (PROJECT NO. 93-24), AT MINNETONKA BOULEVARD AND LOUISIANA AVENUE (PROJECT NO. 94-02A), AT W. LAKE STREET AND DAKOTA AVENUE (PROJECT NO. 94-02C), AT DAKOTA PARK (PROJECT NO. 94-15), AND AT LAKE VIRGINIA PARK (PROJECT NO. 94-16) WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project Nos. 93-24, 94-02A, 94-02C, 94-15 and 94-16, bids were received, opened, and tabulated by the City Manager on May 25, 1994. WHEREAS, DMJ Corporation submitted the lowest responsive bid for the construction of municipal parking lots at Bass Lake Park (Project No. 93-24), at Minnetonka Boulevard and Louisiana Avenue (Project No. 94-02A), at W. Lake Street and Dakota Avenue (Project No. 94-02C), at Dakota Park (Project No. 94- 15, and at Lake Virginia Park (Project No. 94-16). WHEREAS, it appears DMJ Corporation is the lowest responsible bidder, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota that: 1. DMJ Corporation is approved as the lowest responsible bidder. 2. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract in the amount of $137,119.70 with DMJ Corporation in the name of the City of St. Louis Park, for Improvement Project Nos. 93-24, 94-02A, 94-02C, 94-15, and 94-16 according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the Director of Public Works. 1'4.4dIC 3079 (continued) 4. City staff is hereby authorized and directed to return all plan holders the deposits made in accordance with the bid documents, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been executed.
