HomeMy WebLinkAbout94-55 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1994/05/02r 110 RESOLUTION N0. 94-55 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT, ESTABLISHING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NOS. 94-18 AND 94-24, ORDERING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NOS. 94-18 AND 94-24, AND APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR WATERMAIN CONSTRUCTION FROM EXCELSIOR BOULEVARD AND NATCHEZ AVENUE TO W. 39TH STREET AND PRINCETON AVENUE UNDER PROJECT NO. 94-18 AND SANITARY SEWER CONSTRUCTION FROM W. 38TH STREET AND OTTAWA AVENUE TO W. 39TH STREET AND NATCHEZ AVENUE UNDER PROJECT NO. 92-24 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park has received a report from the City Engineer related to the construction of a watermain -from Excelsior Boulevard and Natchez Avenue to W. 39th Street and Princeton Avenue under Project No. 94-18 and construction of a sanitary sewer from W. 38th Street and Ottawa Avenue to W. 39th Street and Natchez Avenue under Project No. 92-24. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, that: 1. The City Engineer's Report regarding the construction of watermain from Excelsior Boulevard and Natchez Avenue to W. 39th Street and Princeton Avenue under Project No. 94-18 and construction of a sanitary sewer from W. 38th Street and Ottawa Avenue to W. 39th Street and Natchez Avenue under Project No. 92-24 is hereby accepted. 2. The proposed projects, designated as Project Nos. 94-18 and 92-24, are hereby established. 3. Project Nos. 94-18 and 92-24 are hereby ordered. 4. The plans and specifications for the making of the improvements as prepared under the direction of the Director of Public Works are approved. 5. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of the improvement under the approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published as required by law, shall specify the work to be done, and shall specify the date and time at which bids will be opened by the City Clerk and City Manager in the Council Chambers in the City Hall. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid. 6. The bids shall be tabulated by the Director of Public Works who shall report his tabulation and recommendation to the City Cofncil.
