HomeMy WebLinkAbout94-156 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1994/10/24r RESOLUTION N0. 94-156 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY PARTICIPATION IN A CLEAN WATER PARTNERSHIP TO IMPROVE WATER QUALITY IN THE MINNEAPOLIS CHAIN OF LAKES AND TWIN LAKES AND BASS LAKE IN ST. LOUIS PARK WHEREAS, the Minneapolis Chain of Lakes consists of five lakes within the City of Minneapolis and St. Louis Park contains primarily within its borders the Twin Lakes and Bass Lake subwatersheds which contribute a significant portion of the water to the Minneapolis Chain of Lakes; and WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis Park and its citizens have an active interest in achieving water quality improvements in the watershed; and WHEREAS, the ability to improve water quality in the Twin Lakes, Bass Lake, and Chain of Lakes is dependent upon a cooperative effort between a number of agencies. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of St. Louis Park that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a Clean Water Partnership Cooperative Agreement to improve the water quality in the Cities of Minneapolis and St. Louis Park with City of Minneapolis, its Park and Recreation Board, the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District, and Hennepin County.
