HomeMy WebLinkAbout93-80 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1993/06/21RESOLUTION NO. 93-80 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT NO. 3023; FURNISHING AND INSTALLATION OF A LOGGING RECORDING SYSTEM FOR THE POLICE STATION DISPATCH CENTER !: WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for improvement/Contract No. 3023, bids were received, opened, and tabulated by the City Manager on June 16, 1993. Said bids were as follows: Bid Amount Bid Amount Bidder 20 Channel 24 Channel Capitol Communications $29,109.49 $31,981.14 Lanier Worldwide, Inc. 22,097.91 no bid, Dictaphone no bid 39,812.05 Magnasync 32,230.00 44,940.00 Targeted Budget $30,000.00 WHEREAS, Capitol Communication submitted the lowest bid for the furnishing and installation of a 24 channel logging recording system for the police station dispatch center, which is the preferred system, WHEREAS, it appears Capitol Communication is the lowest -responsible bidder, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota that: 1. Capitol Communication is approved as the lowest responsible bidder. 2. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract in the amount of $31,981.14 with Capitol Communication in the name of the City of St. Louis Park, for Contract No. 3023 according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the Director of Public Works. 3. City staff is hereby authorized and directed to return all plan holders the deposits made in accordance with the bid documents, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been executed.
