HomeMy WebLinkAbout93-65 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1993/06/07RESOLUTION NO. 93-65 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT, ESTABLISHING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 93-12, ORDERING PROJECT NO. 93-12, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING RECEIPT OF BIDS FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF CEDAR LAKE ROAD BETWEEN VIRGINIA AVENUE AND SUMTER AVENUE AND PROHIBITING PARKING ALONG BOTH SIDES OF CEDAR LAKE ROAD FROM BURD PLACE TO SUMTER AVENUE (M.S.A. PROJECT NO. 163-020-24; 163-275-14) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park has received a report from the City Engineer related to the reconstruction of Cedar Lake Road between Virginia Avenue and Sumter Avenue and improvements related thereto as specified under Project No. 93-12. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, that: 1. The City Engineer's Report regarding the proposed reconstruction of Cedar Lake Road between Virginia Avenue and Sumter Avenue under Project No. 93-12 is hereby accepted. 2. The proposed project, designated as Project No. 93-12 (M.S.A. Project No. 163- 020-24; 163-275-14), is hereby established. 3. The City Council being fully advised of the pertinent facts, the improvement is ordered to be constructed in accordance with the description in the City Engineer's Report. 4. The plans and specifications for the improvement are hereby approved. 5. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted at least two weeks in the official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids for the making of said improvement under said approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall appear not less than twenty one (21) days prior to the date for receipt of bids, and specify the work to be done, state the date and time bids will be received by the City Clerk, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five (5) percent of the amount of the bid. 6. Parking will be prohibited along both sides of Cedar Lake Road from Burd Place to Sumter Avenue upon completion of Project No. 93-12.
