HomeMy WebLinkAbout93-48 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1993/05/03RESOLUTION NO. 93-48 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT/CONTRACT NO. 2091; INSTALLATION, INCLUDING LABOR AND MATERIALS, OF A STANDBY GENERATOR IN THE CITY HALL GARAGE WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement/Contract No. 209 bids were received, opened, and tabulated by the City Manager on April 20, 1993. Said bids were as follows: Bidder Watson -Forsberg Company E.C.I. Building Contractors Merrimac Construction Environmental Systematics The Builders, Inc. Adolfson-Peterson Sheehy Construction Palani Construction Targeted Budget Bid Amount $ 364,000 366,500 371,055 375,800 376,000 376,200 383,700 387,629 $ 491,000 WHEREAS, it appears Watson -Forsberg Company is the lowest responsible bidder, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota that: 1. Watson -Forsberg Company is approved as the lowest responsible bidder. 2. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract in the amount of $364,000.00 with Watson -Forsberg Company in the name of the City of St. Louis Park, for Improvement/Contract No. 2091 according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the Director of Public Works. 3. City staff is hereby authorized and directed to return all plan holders the deposits made in accordance with the bid documents, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been executed.
