RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. 92-12
AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT NO. 2087
WITH TOLTZ, KING, DUVALL, AND ASSOCIATES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park has received a
report from the City Engineer related to the replacement of the Water/Sewer
Utility control system as specified under Project No. 92-12.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St.
Louis Park, Minnesota, that:
1. The plans and specifications for the replacement of the Water/Sewer
Utility control system as prepared under the direction of the Director
of Public Works are approved.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official
newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids
upon the making of the improvement under the approved plans and
specifications. The advertisement shall be published as required by
law, shall specify the work to be done, and shall specify the date and
time at which bids will be opened by the City Clerk and City Manager in
the Council Chambers in the City Hall. No bids will be considered
unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash
deposition, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the
Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid.
3. The bids shall be tabulated by the Director of Public Works who shall
report his tabulation and recommendation to the City Council.
4. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute an amendment
to Contract No. 2087 with Toltz, King, Duvall, and Associates, Inc.
increasing its amount from $22,000 to $25,500 to provide for the design
of water treatment plant monitor/control elements which communicate with
the utility control system.
