RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT/CONTRACT NO. 2089; INSTALLATION, INCLUDING LABOR AND MATERIALS, OF A SHOOTING RANGE SYSTEM IN THE NEW POLICE STATION WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for improvement/Contract No. 2089, bids were received, opened, and tabulated by the Interim City Manager on March 31, 1993. Said bids were as follows: Radio Remote Start Control Bidder Base Bid Add Alternate Total Bid Caswell International Corp. $36,024 $250 $36,274 WHEREAS, it has been determined that Caswell International Corporation is the sole manufacturer of live fire shooting range systems, the type of system more closely related to the police department's firearm training philosophy, WHEREAS, based on other live fire shooting range systems installed by Caswell International Corporation, it appears the company's bid is fair, WHEREAS, it appears Caswell International Corporation is the lowest responsible bidder, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota that: 1. Caswell International Corporation is approved as the lowest responsible bidder. 2. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract in the amount of $36,274 with Caswell International Corporation in the name of the City of St. Louis Park, for improvement/Contract No. 2089 according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the Director of Public Works. 3. City staff is hereby authorized and directed to return all plan holders the deposits made in accordance with the bid documents, except that the deposit of the successful bidder shall be retained until a contract has been executed.
