HomeMy WebLinkAbout92-111 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1993/08/03RESOLUTION 92-111 APPROVING THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIREFIGHTERS LOCAL 993 LABOR AGREEMENT AND ESTABLISHING SALARIES AND INSURANCE CONTRIBUTIONS FOR THE YEARS ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1992 AND DECEMBER 31, 1993 WHEREAS, it is the desire of both the City and the International Association of Firefighters Local No. 993 to enter into a Collective Bargaining Agreement for years 1992 and 1993, and WHEREAS, as authorized by Section 3-301 of the St. Louis Park Ordinance Code, the City Council has established the "Position Classification Plan and Salary Administration Program for the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota", and WHEREAS, Section 3-301 provides that as often as necessary, the Position Classification and Salary Plan shall be reviewed and revised by the Council; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City and the I.A.F.F. Local 993 and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the salary structure for Firefighter, Fire Captain and supplemental pay for Driver and Inspector in the Position Classification and Salary Plan for the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, be amended as follows: Position Firefighter A. Entry B. After 12 months C. After 24 months D. After 36 months E. After 48 months Fire Captain A. Entry B. After 48 months Bi -Weekly Salary 1992 1993 $1,230.82 $1,292.57 $1,356.65 $1,424.78 $1,496.44 $1,596.05 $1,676.01 $1,267.74 $1,331.34 $1,397.35 $1,467.52 $1,541.33 $1,643.93 $1,726.29 Resolution - Local 993 August 3, 1992 - pg. 2 Supplemental Assignment Pav Fire Inspector During 1992 and 1993, employees assigned by the employer as Fire Inspector will receive an additional 8% of top firefighter as supplemental pay in addition to their regular firefighter wage. At the conclusion of the assignment as Fire Inspector, the employee in the position shall return to their previous position as well as to a salary level commensurate with their level of service. Driver During 1992 and 1993, employees assigned as Driver will receive an additional 5% of top firefighter as supplemental pay in addition to their regular firefighter wage. At the conclusion of the assignment the employee will return to their previous position as well as to a salary level commensurate with their level of service. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City will contribute up to $300.00 per month towards group health and life insurance including dependent coverage for calendar year 1992. The City will contribute $330.00 per month for group health and life insurance including dependent coverage for calendar year 1993.
