RESOLUTION REQUESTING MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
AUTHORIZATION TO APPROPRIATE MUNICIPAL STATE AID FUNDS FOR
OFF -SYSTEM EXPENDITURE ON THE I-394 SOUTH FRONTAGE ROAD
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 89-09, S.A.P. NO. 163-010-31
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park has received a
report from the City Engineer related to the installation of street lighting
along the south frontage road of I-394 from Texas Avenue to Utica Avenue as
specified under Project No. 89-09, S.A.P. No. 163-010-31.
WHEREAS, the proposed improvement project is eligible for expenditure of
the City's Municipal State Aid funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St.
Louis Park, Minnesota, that the City requests the Commissioner of
Transportation authorization to appropriate the sum of $100,000 from its
Municipal State Aid street fund to apply toward the construction of said
Project No. 89-09, S.A.P. No. 163-010-31.

RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 89-09, APPROVING
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING RECEIPT OF BIDS
FOR STREET LIGHTING ALONG THE SOUTH FRONTAGE ROAD
OF I-394 FROM TEXAS AVENUE TO UTICA AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park has received a report
from the City Engineer related to the installation of decorative street lighting
along the south frontage road of I-394 from Texas Avenue to Utica Avenue.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis
Park that:

1. The City Council being fully advised of the pertinent facts, the
improvement is ordered to be constructed in accordance with the
description in the City Engineer's Report.
2. The plans and specifications for the improvement are hereby
approved.
3. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted at least two
weeks in the official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin an
advertisement for bids for the making of said improvement under
said approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall
appear not less than twenty one (21) days prior to the date for
receipt of bids, and specify the work to be done, state the date
and time bids will be received by the City Clerk, and that no bids
will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and
accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or
certified check payable to the City for five (5) percent of the
amount of the bid.
4. The City Engineer is authorized to advertise for the receipt of bids for
Project No. 89-09.
