MB -90-11, CONTRACT NO. 2071 WHEREAS, the City Council entered into Contract No. 2071 with Adolfson & Peterson, Inc., for the construction of a new police station, Project No. MB -90-11; and WHEREAS, the City has determined that certain modifications be made to the contract to facilitate the construction of the project, said modifications being as follows: Eight proposal requests and twelve field orders including soils/foundations, local code review, and compliance with Department of Corrections requirements. WHEREAS, the Contractor, Adolfson & Peterson, Inc. has agreed to the prices for the modification noted above. _ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, that the above modifications to Project No. MB -90-11 are approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, that: 1. There is appropriated the sum of $16,034 for the additional costs. LOUIS PARK AND THE LAW ENFORCEMENT EMPLOYEES, UNION LOCAL 320 AND ESTABLISHING SALARIES AND INSURANCE CONTRIBUTIONS FOR THE YEARS ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1993 AND DECEMBER 31, 1994 WHEREAS, It is the desire of both the City and the Minnesota Teamsters Public and Law Enforcement Employees' Union, Local 320 to enter into a Collective Bargaining Agreement for years 1993 and 1994, and WHEREAS, as authorized by Section 3-301 of the St. Louis Park Ordinance Code, the City Council has established the "Position Classification Plan and Salary Administration Program for the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota", and WHEREAS, Section 3-301 provides that as often as necessary, Position Classification and Salary Plan shall be reviewed revised by the Council; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City and the Minnesota Teamsters Public and Law Enforcement Employees' Union, Local 320, and the and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the salary structure for Police Patrol Officer and Investigator as shown in the Position Classification and Salary Plan for the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, be amended as follows: Salary Table Effective January 1, 1993 Range Patrol Officer Investigator A B C Steps (Start) (After 6 mo) (After 12 mo) Bi -Weekly $1,048.48 $1,171.60 Bi -Weekly $1,116.39 $1,240.06 $1,295.29 $1,363.19 D E (After 24 mo) (After 36 mo) $1,418.96 $1,486.31 $1,542.10 $1,609.99 This wage schedule constitutes basic wages (less performance pay or out -of -classification pay) which shall not be compared to other comparable Police Departments' wages which include longevity pay. page 2 The. salary schedule for 1994 shall be re -opened at a future date as agreed by the City and the Union. BE IT FURTHER ,RESOLVED- that;-the'.City` will contribute up to $330.00 per month. towards ,group health and life insurance including dependent coverage -for calendar year 1993 and $345.00 min, -calendar year 1994. Should the Medica family medical plan increase- -more than 10%.between 1993 and 1994, the City shall contribute an additional $5.00 per month with the total contribution not to exceed $350.00 per month.
