HomeMy WebLinkAbout92-204 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1992/12/211 RESOLUTION NO. 92-204 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 90-49; TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM WITH EMERGENCY VEHICLE PRE-EMPTION PARK PLACE BOULEVARD AND GAMBLE DRIVE WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project No. 90-49, bids were received, opened, and tabulated by the Director of Public Works on December 15, 1992. Said bids were as follows: Bidder Bid Amount Egan -McKay Electrical Contractors, Inc. $ 51,866.00 Collins Electrical Systems, Inc. 52,892.00 Killmer Electric Company, Inc. 56,409.00 A & B Electric, Inc. 62,780.00 Ridgedale Electric, Inc. 66,200.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Egan -McKay Electrical Contractors, Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota that: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract in the amount of $51,866.00 with Egan -McKay Electrical Contractors, Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota in the name of the City of St. Louis Park, for Improvement Project No. 90-49 according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the Director of Public Works. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return all bidders the deposits made with their bids in accordance with the bid documents, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been executed.
