HomeMy WebLinkAbout92-106 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1992/07/20RESOLUTION NO. 92-106 RESOLUTION REQUESTING VARIANCE FROM MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION RULES FOR STATE AID OPERATIONS TO ALLOW RECONSTRUCTION OF W. 26TH STREET WITH 40 AND 50 FOOT RIGHT OF WAY WIDTHS WHEREAS, the City wishes to reconstruct W. 26th Street from Monterey Avenue to Huntington Avenue using Municipal State Aid funds; and WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation rules for State Aid operations, Chapter 8820.2500 Subp. 3 require that urban State Aid streets have a minimum 60 feet of right of way; and WHEREAS, the City believes there are compelling reasons for maintaining the existing right of way widths without effecting safety or traffic conditions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota does hereby request a variance from Minnesota Department of Transportation rules for State Aid operations, Chapter 8820.2500 Subp. 3, urban State Aid street 60 foot minimum right of way requirements, to allow reconstruction of W. 26th Street with it's existing right of way widths of 40 and 50 feet.
