HomeMy WebLinkAbout91-4 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1991/01/07RESOLUTION NO. 91-4 RESOLUTION REQUESTING TIME EXTENSION FOR SOUTHWEST CORRIDOR LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT PRELIMINARY DESIGN PLAN REVIEW WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Railroad Authority (the "HCRRA") has prepared preliminary design plans (the "Plans") for a Southwest Corridor Light Rail Transit through St. Louis Park, and; WHEREAS, the HCRRA forwarded the Plans to the City of St. Louis Park for consideration on November 8, 1990, and; WHEREAS, the HCRRA held a public hearing to consider the Plans on December 13, 1990, and; WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 473.3994 Subd. 3 requires that a city through which a light rail transit route is proposed review and approve or disapprove the Plans for the route within 45 days after the hearing held by the HCRRA, unless an extension of time is agreed to by the City and the HCRRA, and; WHEREAS, the City Council and Economic Development Authority of the City of St. Louis Park have initiated a Redevelopment and Urban Design Planning Study of a part of the City in which the proposed light rail transit route is located, and; WHEREAS, one of the components of the study is to analyze and recommend a transportation system for the Highway 7 Corridor of which the proposed light rail transit route is a part, and; WHEREAS, another component of the study is to develop a land use plan for the 36th/Wooddale area within which the proposed Wooddale light rail transit station is located, and; WHEREAS, the Redevelopment and Urban Design Planning Study will be completed in April, 1991. NOW THEREFORE BE IS RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that a two month extension from January 27, 1991 to March 27, 1991 for the review and approval or disapproval of the plans for the light rail transit route through the City of St. Louis Park is hereby requested.
