HomeMy WebLinkAbout91-138 - ADMIN Resolution - City Council - 1991/07/15RESOLUTION 9 1 _. 13 8 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE MINNESOTA TEAMSTERS PUBLIC AND LAW ENFORCEMENT EMPLOYEE'S UNION, LOCAL 320 AND ESTABLISHING SALARIES AND INSURANCE CONTRIBUTIONS FOR THE YEARS ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1991 AND DECEMBER 31, 1992 WHEREAS, Teamsters to enter and 1992, It is the desire of both the City and the Minnesota Public and Law Enforcement Employees' Union, Local 320 into a Collective Bargaining Agreement for years 1991 and WHEREAS, as authorized by Section 3-301 of the St. Louis Park Ordinance Code, the City Council has established the "Position Classification Plan and Salary Administration Program for the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota", and WHEREAS, Section 3-301 provides that as often as necessary, the Position Classification and Salary Plan shall be reviewed and revised by the Council; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Louis Park that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City and the Minnesota Teamsters Public and Law Enforcement Employees' Union, Local 320, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the salary structure for Police Patrol Officer and Investigator as shown in the Position Classification and Salary Plan for the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, be amended as follows: Salary Table Effective January 1, 1991 Range Patrol Officer Investigator Steps Bi -weekly Bi -weekly A (Start) $985.90 $1,049.76 D (After 24 mo.) $1,334.27 $1,397.60 B C (After 6 mo.) (After 12 mo.) $1,101.68 $1,166.05 E (After 36 mo.) $1,450.05 $1,513.90 $1,217.98 $1,281.84 Salary Table Effective Steps Patrol Officer Bi -weekly Investigator Bi -weekly A (Start) $1,017.94 $1,083.87 D (After 24 mo.) $1,377.63 $1,443.02 January 1, 1992 B C (After 6 mo.) (After 12 mo.) $1,137.48 $1,203.94 E (After 36 mo. $1,497.18 $1,563.10 $1,257.56 $1,323.49 This wage schedule constitutes basic wages (less performance pay or out of classification pay) which shall not be compared to other comparable Police Departments' wages which include longevity pay. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City will contribute up to $270.00 per month towards group health and life insurance including dependent coverage for calendar year 1991 and $300.00 in calendar year 1992.
