RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 4219 ADOPTED ON
APRIL 26, 1971 AND GRANTING SPECIAL (CONDITIONAL USE) PERMLT
UNDER SECTIONS 14-156(6) AND 14-171(3) OF THE ST. LOUIS PARK
ORDINANCE CODE RELATING TO ZONING TO ALLOW OUTDOOR
CANOE STORAGE AT 3550 HIGHWAY 100 SOUTH
FINDINGS
WHEREAS, Hoigaard's Inc. has made application to the City Council for a special permit
under Sections 14-156(6) and 14 171(3) of the St. Louis Park Ordinance Code to allow
outdoor canoe storage at 3550 Highway 100 South within the I-1, Industrial District having the
following legal description:

WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the advice and recommendation of the
Planning Commission Case No. 90 -34 -SP and 70 -34 -SP and the effect of the proposed
outdoor canoe storage on the health, safety, and welfare of the occupants of the surrounding
lands, existing and anticipated traffic conditions, the effect on values of properties in the
surrounding area and the effect of the use on the Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, a special permit was issued regarding the subject property pursuant to
Resolution No. 4219 of the St. Louis Park City Council dated April 26, 1971 which
contained conditions applicable to said property; and
WHEREAS, due to changed circumstances, amendments to those conditions are now
necessary, requiring the amendment of that special permit; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of this resolution to continue and restate the conditions of
the permit granted by Resolution No. 4219 to add the amendments now required, and to
consolidate all conditions applicable to the subject property in this resolution;
WHEREAS, the contents of Planning Commission Case File 90 -34 -SP and 70 -34 -SP are
hereby entered into and made part of the public hearing record and the record of decision
for this case.
CONCLUSION
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution No. 4219, no document filed is
hereby rescinded and replaced by this resolution which continues and amends a special
permit to the subject property for the purposes of permitting outdoor canoe storage within the I-
1, Industrial District at the location described above based on the following conditions:
1. The storage yard shall be developed and maintained as shown on Exhibit A, Site Plan.
The site plan is adopted as an exhibit only for the purpose of showing the storage
yard and it is not intended that any other aspect of site development will be
controlled by the site plan as a special permit exhibit.
2. A plan for additional landscaping and screening around the storage yard facility shall
be developed and submitted for staff review and approval. An issuance of a final
Certificate of Occupancy shall be contingent upon staff approval of such additional
landscaping plan.
8. The storage yard shall be completed by October 31, 1990.
